Yes, I own and ramrod The Deepening, a website devoted to promoting books, their authors, editors, and publishers, sharing good books and exposing bad ones to the reading public
Do I actually “run” the site? Yes, along with my editor-in-chief, Clayton Bye, and his team of book and novel reviewers. But then, again, no. The Deepening is designed to be a “churning point,” churning up interest in good books, good novels and short stories, along with interest in their authors, editors, and publishers. As such, there’s actually a hoard of folks involved, from those who create the works to those who refine, polish, then produce those works.
Then there’s the Reader.
The Deepening world of fiction is devoted to fiction, its readers, its authors, its editors and its publishers. It features books, novels, articles, and short stories of all kinds, including audio and audio-visual, though its content must be within the bounds of what The Deepening editors consider to be in good taste.

Sylvia Cochran is Associated Content’s writer known for edgy and opinionated yet non-partisan writing. Freelance writer, German/English translator, AC Community Guide, “Best of AC” ’08 Election Coverage Award winner and Featured ‘Home Improvement’ and ‘Pets’ Contributor, she offers a global perspective on a wide array of topics.
Sylvia has a special love for home improvement, gardening and dog related subjects. Trained since childhood in the hands-on art and German craftsmanship of DIY home remodeling and landscaping, even now her home is an ongoing construction zone with always at least two projects being worked on concurrently.
She considers an evening at the local big box home improvement store or pet shop a date night and spends a huge chunk of her time researching appliance data, deciphering wiring schematics and painting, staining, demolishing and building — unless she is busy pampering her pooch and feline.
